Creating a Grounded, Sophisticated Space Honoring Veterans
Color Works was brought in as the building color consultant to reposition the property, elevate its market perception, and support leasing efforts across the expansive multi-building campus. The design challenge was not just aesthetic — it was about creating an exterior identity that balanced modern appeal with timeless durability, ensuring the investment would stand the test of Florida’s climate and the property’s long-term vision.

Design Strategy & Intervention
Color Works developed a concept built around modern neutrals anchored by bold black elements to replace the outdated brick and metallic finishes. Painting the brick created a clean, cohesive canvas, while black accents emphasized the architectural lines, adding sophistication and structure. The new palette offered contrast and clarity, enhancing the vibrant Florida landscaping and allowing natural greenery to shine.
The grounding of the palette was intentional — designed to create an atmosphere that felt strong, calm, and inviting. For a community of veterans, the goal was to create a space that didn’t feel sterile or impersonal but instead conveyed warmth, belonging, and pride. This sensitivity to color psychology guided every design move, ensuring that the refreshed campus would resonate deeply with those who occupy it daily.
Impact for Owners & Investors
While quantitative results are still being measured, the immediate visual impact repositioned Arden Office Park as a modern, professional, and desirable destination for tenants.
Strategic outcomes include:
- Elevated market perception and tenant appeal across the Tampa corridor
- Strengthened brand identity through consistent exterior and signage design
- A more welcoming and dignified environment aligned with the veteran tenant base
- Improved first impressions for prospective tenants and visitors
For the Color Works team, the moment the scaffolding came down was powerful — watching the once-muted campus come to life through purposeful color and contrast. The transformation was more than cosmetic; it was symbolic of the strength, stability, and community the property represents.
