Interior Design for Multifamily and Commercial Properties

Experience, credentials, and strategy at scale.

Designing for commercial environments—whether multifamily, hospitality, or corporate—is not simply a matter of choosing beautiful pieces. Spaces must perform, endure, and meet rigorous standards for safety, accessibility, and code compliance. Color Works Design combines decades of expertise, advanced credentials, and a proven process that balances form, function, and investment strategy.

A Discipline Beyond Residential Design

Commercial interior design is not residential design at a larger scale. It is a different discipline entirely. Our NCIDQ-certified designers bring advanced training, licensing, and field-tested experience to meet the demands of multifamily and commercial projects. At this level, durability is a given, safety is non-negotiable, and seamless integration with construction and compliance is expected.

The Value Beyond Compliance

Meeting standards is the baseline. The true value comes from design that integrates seamlessly with the broader asset strategy:

  • Operational Efficiency – Thoughtful layouts that streamline traffic flow, maintenance, and long-term usability.
  • Tenant Experience – Spaces that balance durability with comfort, enhancing everyday interactions for residents, guests, and staff.
  • Brand Alignment– Interiors that reinforce property identity, from leasing offices to shared amenities, strengthening market perception.
  • Future-Ready Investment – Design decisions that minimize long-term costs and keep assets competitive as expectations evolve.
